“The Privilege of a Lifetime is To Become Who You Truly Are”. -Carl Jung
“My journey of inward growth began rather late in my life and I suppose for all of the typical reasons…I’m too busy, I’m OK, it’s just not the right time, and so on. But I finally realized that staying put was becoming more painful than pursuing change. Tracey has been such an important and encouraging guide on this journey of mine. Her knowledge and experience combined with her natural kindness has created an environment that is ideal for this exchange of information and ideas. Tracey has helped me to achieve a great deal of clarity and insight into my life. Tracey has helped me know that meaningful change is possible.”

Psychotherapy for Growth and Grief
My Philosophy
I strongly believe that most mental health issues are a predictable and natural reaction to the trauma and negativity inherent in living in an unjust world. We are not born unhappy – we become unhappy. At a young age we are conditioned to adapt to the misery that unfolds daily in the world around us in order to survive it. Our ego serves an important function in this regard, but over time, the cumulative effect of this ego-driven way of moving through the world is devastating to our spirit. Not surprisingly we often feel alienated and misunderstood, and we become desensitized, distracted, anxious and depressed. Our suffering makes us feel very alone; estranged not only from others, but from our highest nature. We stumble through life inauthentically, often feeling as if we have lost all sense of purpose and hope.
I believe it is our highest and most sacred work to get back to the light and to rediscover our sense of connectedness and purpose.
My Orientation
My orientation is transpersonal, which essentially means that I believe that there is much more to life, and death, then our five senses are normally able to perceive. I believe that we are flesh and blood and bone, yes, but more importantly, we are ALL an amalgam of light and soul and spirit moving in an interconnected way within the larger cosmos. As such, we are capable of great emotional depth, intuitive understanding and inner-peace.
My aim is to help you uncover and joyfully celebrate your most authentic self; the truly beautiful and vulnerable self that exists deep within you. Unlike the limits of the ego-self, this higher understanding of self is not alienated from the rest of the universe, but rather, knows that it is an inextricable part of it.
Our Work Together
Whether you are coming to see me for matters stemming from grief and loss, or whether you are reaching out to me for the purposes of self discovery and growth, a transpersonal framework provides the foundation for all of the work we will be doing together. Within the context of that framework, I may introduce any number of potential interventions to help you along your journey and I encourage the use of tools such as meditation, guided visualization, shamanic journeying, dream work, art, ritual, bibliotherapy, cinematherapy, journaling, mindfulness practices, and other techniques to help move you along your path.
We begin the work by identifying the areas that are causing you pain and we will create and work a plan to help you to lean in and move through them. As you begin to release the years of emotional debris, you will begin to feel lighter; more centered, and this will serve to help you make room for new information and ways of experiencing. You will soon begin to understand that your “whole self “ is much more faceted and complex then the face you show to the world, and this realization will provide the impetus you need to find a more complete expression of you true nature.
Our work together begins to wind down once you find that you are starting to embrace an expanded sense of identity - one that entails a deeper feeling of wholeness, relatedness, and connectedness with everything in the cosmos.
You will know when we are approaching the end of our journey together because you will have a heightened sense of serenity. You will understand your place in the universe and will feel the interconnectedness of all things. You will begin to move through life with a feeling of great personal freedom, a new sense of wonder, and and expanded sense of possibility. You will notice that you also have an increased depth of emotion and that you are able to remain present for all of it. You will have more compassion for yourself and others. You may even find that you begin to have expanded states of awareness that go well beyond the limits of conscious thought. Most importantly, you will recognize that you are not just a passive observer, but a dynamic creator, and that you have the power to manifest exactly the kind of life you want to live.

The Vibe
-
It begins with getting familliar.
Connection is critical -so we will spend the first few sessions getting to know each other - establishing a level of trust and comfort to serve as the foundation for sacred work ahead.
-
I will listen and honor YOUR processes.
I’m here to support and encourage you, but this is YOUR journey. I’m here to hold the lantern and to shine it in all the dark corners so that you can see what you need to see.
-
You will know that I believe in YOU.
You’re here - You had the courage to show up. And that’s an incredible fist step. I have faith that you can do this work. I believe in you, even if you don’t.
“Tracey helped me learn to set healthy boundaries and confront feelings of shame, guilt, self-doubt and inadequacy head on. Through my sessions with her I began to trust myself again to celebrate my strengths and recognize that weaknesses are what make us human and help us grow. When I start to slide backwards into patterns of people-pleasing, anxiety and negative self-talk I now have the tools that I need to pull myself back. It’s thanks to Tracey that I know how to do the work, and I will always be so grateful for everything that she helped me through and all that I learned during our time together!”
